To further our goal of making images more accessible for research and teaching, Peregrinations is establishing a community resource through which readers can request images from other readers. For example, if you are working on an article and need a copyright-free image of the central portal of Reims Cathedral, you can place a request on the Photo-Share page. With luck, a fellow reader might just have a slide or photo they took which they might be willing to share with you for free. Many art historians are excellent photographers who would be happy to share the fruits of their labor to further the cause of art history for everyone. We are truly, one world-wide community!

Please also feel free to use this space to comment on the journal, to respond to ideas presented in articles, to the selection of items for inclusion, or to any aspect of Peregrinations. We like feedback.

As a long time fanatic about all thing Romanesque, I stumbled upon your website thru a Medieval Review posting link. I'm a painter and often use details of architecture from Northern Spain and some from Southern France. So I do look forward to reading about these areas, as well as others I'm not as familiar with. Thank you!

I am looking for an image of Chartres, Cathèdral de Nôtre-Dame, North Transept, East Portal Jamb, with Isaiah, Gabriel and the Virgin for use in a new journal, called ShelfLife. Any help would be appreciated. I have contributed a few hundred photos to the cause, which are currently being scanned to add in!

Greetings from a long-time "fan" of "Peregrinations" from Germany! I am very sorry that, although I have promised it ages ago, I dindn't contribute to the photobank yet (no time and - probably an even more striking argument - no photo-scanner available). Yes, a comments page would be fine.

I am always interested in good pictures of pilgrimage art before ~1600 that clearly show pilgrims carrying or using rosaries (or paternosters or any other form of Christian prayer beads). Right now I am _especially_ interested in any that show the type of rosary that uses disk-shaped counters rather than round beads (see http://paternosters.blogspot.com/2006/02/disk-drive.html). I would also very much like photos of the carved ivory paternoster that belonged to a 16th-century Bishop Fugger -- I believe it's in the Münsterschatz in Konstanz. Bildindex.de is a valuable resource but it has a grand total of two (2) rather dim detail shots. Thanks!

Many congratulations -- and many thanks -- for a beautiful and very informative site. The St-Gilles photo essay was lovely. Would that author (or any other readers) happen to have good images of the reliefs showing the Payment of Judas and the Arrest of Christ (including Peter's attack on Malchus) from that same monument? I'd be most grateful for any assistance!
